The 7th grade Jags junior varsity boys basketball team competed in the league tournament at Baldwin High School on Saturday. The first opponent they faced was Louisburg Middle School. The Jags battled in the paint but fell to a 33-24 loss. In the second game, against Eudora Middle School, the Jags played aggressive defense and jumped to an early lead and never trailed as they won 43-20. The Jags ended the tournament taking 3rd place. “I was proud of the way the boys bounced back after the early loss. They won the second game as a team, playing aggressive defense and making tough shots,” said Coach Cox.
