UPDATE - One Car Injury Accident in Gardner at 175th & I-35

UPDATE: One Car Injury Accident – 175th & I-35
On Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in the late afternoon hours, Gardner PD was advised that the driver of the vehicle involved in the one car injury accident died as a result of injuries received.
The driver has been identified as Edward Joseph Jasperse, 49 years of age. Jasperse was a Gardner resident. The accident remains under investigation by the Gardner Police Department.


Gardner, KS - On Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 0802 hours, Gardner PD was dispatched to the bridge over I-35 & 175th Street in reference to a one car vehicle accident. Upon officer arrival at 0805 hours, officers observed that a vehicle travelling eastbound on 175th Street over I-35 had veered left of center for unknown reasons at this time and struck the westbound concrete jersey barrier. A 48 year old male, a Gardner resident, was extricated from the vehicle and was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition. Johnson County Sheriff’s Department is assisting in the investigation. Updates will follow when additional information is available.
